Our Wills, Estates and Trusts practice offers information seminars through Community Living Mississauga to parents who have children with intellectual disabilities.
This training is takes place twice a year in three sessions, followed by an annual information session with a panel of professionals.
The first session is about Henson trust planning for persons who have a family member with a disability.
The second session covers the role of the trustee in the administration of an estate.
The third session covers the importance of powers of attorney.
In the annual information session, a panel of professionals (a lawyer from our firm, a trust offer, a chartered accountant and an investment advisor) hold a question-and-answer session regarding issues that are of interest to persons with disabilities or their family members, as it relates to estate planning and estate administration.
